Celestial Pattern Design, Orange Pippin Illustration
The brief was to create spot illustrations that could be used to form a repeat pattern with a Celestial theme. The original illustrations were created using watercolour before being digitalised to create the pattern for printing. The pattern is now available on a range of products including kitchenware, tableware and even wash bags.
The design went through various stages of change, originally beginning with clouds and faded imagery in the background before ending up with the finished design. Care was taken to make sure that despite being printed across a variety of materials, the colours were the same so that the full collection worked well together. The finished result was one of a magical collection, fit for the celebratory season it was designed for.
