TKO surrounding map | Li&RC Design Associates Ltd
An illustrated map created to promote a property development in the TKO area of Hong Kong. The aim was to create a map that would showcase the local amenities, activities and potential lifestyle available. As well as creating the surrounding map, a location map, similar to a floor plan, was required of the actual development to give a closer look at the layout of the property being developed. As part of this I was then asked to create illustrations of the flora and fauna that are being planted at the development.
All elements were drawn by hand using watercolour before being digitalised so that the map can be used for a variety of purposes and sizes. The colour palette created was chosen to reflect the feeling of the local area and keep a bright and natural tone. The characters were added to bring the map to life and a brief was provided by the client of the clothing, ages and styles that the characters should have.
All lettering was created by Helen as well, written in Chinese in a hand lettered style to complement the illustrated map.
